Advanced Light Microscopy
25 September 2020, 10 am—4 pm
The goal of this course is to teach participants the basics of light microscopy. Students will get hands-on experience with optical microscopes and gain a deeper understanding of brightfield, darkfield, phase contrast, and fluorescent microscopy. As part of the course, students will build an Abbe microscope with Köhler illumination and a simple fluorescent microscope as well. The conference will be hosted by The Faculty of Information Technology and Infobionics of Pázmány Péter Catholic University (PPCU) and funded by the EU Social Funds through the THEMATIC FUNDAMENTAL RESEARCH COLLABORATIONS GROUNDING INNOVATION IN INFORMATICS AND INFOCOMMUNICATIONS (3in) (EFOP-3.6.2-16-2017-00013) project.
