6-9 April 2020, Esztergom, Hungary
CANCELLED
Visualization of large datasets and complex objects is a key problem in life sciences today. How to design effective figures for scientific articles and presentations starting from numerical, textual or visual data? How to convey a message or show emerging patterns in a network of thousands or millions of data? Course subjects will cover sequences, genomes, metagenomes microbiomes, 3D structures of proteins, DNA, their complexes, biological networks, agent-based visualization of populations. The goal is to give hands-on practical experience on up-to-date visualization freeware as well as placing data visualization into a broad perspective of scientific communication and human cognition. The course language is English. Application is open to all, an understanding of molecular and biochemical fundamentals and basic computer literacy is expected.
